Bordeaux

Breath taking cathedrals and magnificent architecture, a vibrant world metropolis, but also with its charming, secluded squares and beautiful urban spaces. Bordeaux has its internationally renowned concert, opera and ballet stages which, with their beautiful decorations and overwhelming splendour, is a stunning experience.
The great river of Garonne flows slowly through the city with its many beautiful bridges. There is an abundancy of fresh seafood and local produce in the markets which makes a stroll along the river almost magical. We love the bustling life on the riverbank in Bordeaux, and may we suggest accompanied with some bubbles and fresh oysters.

A day trip to Bordeaux with a guide is a great way to get to know this big city for the first time. We recommend a guided walk or a bike tour through the historic centre and during a two-hour tour it showcases the most amazing 18th-century architecture with highlights from the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The best way to get to know Bordeaux is on foot or by bike. "Ville des Lumières", "City of Lights", was designed by architects and urban planners back in the 18th century. Beautiful harmony between buildings and urban spaces, squares and avenues in awesome splendour await you in the city's many districts. Some of the streets have not changed since the Middle Ages and the vast number of beautiful sculptures make Bordeaux an especially great city to visit for those interested in art and history.
After a small city walk, you may probably appreciate a refreshing, small meal by the river, consisting of e.g. fresh oysters or paella and most delicious drinks.
